MANGALDAI, March 20 - Both A and B teams of the Mangaldai Cricket Academy entered the final of the first Sachindra Kr Saharia Memorial District Level Inter School U-18 Limited Overs Cricket Tournament.

In the second semifinal of the tournament played at the Mangaldai Stadium today, the B team of Mangaldai Cricket Academy thrashed Mangaldai Government HS School by nine wickets in an one sided affair. Opting to bat first, Mangaldai Government HS boys were bowled out for a paltry 56. Mohammad Arif with 17 runs was the only notable contributor while Asif Ali Motlier was the wrecker in chief with figures of 3 for 15. In the run chase, Mangaldai Cricket Academy boys reached the target in 10.1 overs losing only one wicket. Khursid Alam remained unbeaten on 26.

Earlier in the first semifinal, the A team of Mangaldai CA beat Mangaldai Don Bosco High School by 20 runs. The winners set a target of 90 runs in their stipulated 20 overs for the Don Bosco boys, but they were bundled out for 69 runs in 16.5 overs. Aibul Ali who top scored with 27 and bagged 2 for 11 was adjudged the man of the match. The final will be played on March 25.
