JORABAT, March 16 - A youth and three of his friends allegedly killed his uncle following a dispute over a plot of land in Gumoriya Pathar, a remote area near Sonapur on the outskirts of Guwahati, police sources said today. The four accused have been arrested.
According to police sources, Jyotish Bhumij and his nephew, Jiten Bhumij were involved in a land dispute over the last few days.
Yesterday evening, Jiten and three of his friends, Uttam Paharia, Naveen Pahariya and Govind Paharia, allegedly killed Jyotish, police said. After receiving the news, police reached the spot and arrested all the four.
An FIR has been filed and Sonapur police are investigating the matter. The body has sent to the Guwahati Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination.
