PATACHARKUCHI, Jan 23 - One Amir Ali was arrested by Bajali police on January 20 on charges of killing his minor son. Ali along with some people killed his own son, Ali Hussain (12), and dumped his body near a paddy field.
The incident took place near Sauliabari under Sarupeta outpost. The body with multiple injuries was discovered by locals. In the beginning, Amir Ali blamed others for the killing. He even went to the Sarupeta outpost with some locals to report about the incident.
Police managed to nab the murderer with the help of sniffer dogs. During interrogation, Ali admitted killing his son. He said Ali Hussain was his stepson, brought to his house by his second wife after her marriage to Ali.
Citizens� forum formed: To ensure smooth development of the entire Patacharkuchi area, a public meeting was conveyed at Siva Durga Dham recently, and important matters related to development were discussed. After the discussion, a citizens forum, Patacharkuchi Anchalik Nagarik Manch, was formed with Kailash Deka as president, Manomohan Gaswami as executive president, Durllav Sarma as vice president, and Kushal Deka as secretary to look after various aspects of development.
