SILCHAR, Oct 28 - Subrata Paul (57), a resident of Hospital Road here died after falling on the track while catching a train at New Haflong on Sunday. According to sources, Paul was on his way to Guwahati on the Silchar-Guwahati Fast Passenger train which left from Silchar. While the train was at halt at New Haflong station, he went out for some work but failed to catch the train back. In his attempt to emabark, Paul fell on the track which resulted in his death, sources said.
He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. He is a cousin brother of Silchar MLA Dilip Kumar Paul.
