Mamata slams Left Govt in Tripura

By Correspondent

AGARTALA, Feb 25 Coming down heavily on the CPM led Left Front Government in Tripura, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday called upon the people to topple the Marxist Government to usher in new dawn.

Your Chief Minister has been distribution knowledge in a State where over nine crore people are residing whereas he remains silent on the core problems- electricity, food scarcity and unemployment of his own State, she said while addressing a rally at Vivekananda Stadium here.

Trinamul Congress supremo said the party did not contest the last Assembly elections due to absence of strong leadership in Tripura.

Now, we have good leadership to lead the party in right direction. Since I have come down to here, I will not leave the soil untill the Marxist fort is flattened to the ground. I will keep coming here once in every three months.

Piling heat on the Marxist Government here, Mamta alleged, The CPI-M led Government has been passing its days by delivering speeches only while the TMC Government in West Bengal has been implementing various welfare works during the past two and half years.

Recalling her bitter experience, Trinamul Congress supremo alleged the Centre had imposed the President rule in Tripura in 1993 as part of match fixing between Congress and CPM to pave the way for formation of Marxist Government.

In 1993, the Congress was sold at the hand of CPM, she said adding that the CPM led Government has no vision and no mission except exercising.

Asserting that Congress, BJP and CPM are in a triangle love, Mamata said the Andhra Pradesh has been bifurcated ignoring the peoples sentiment.

If the Trinamool Congress forms the government in the State then I will open various industries and will show how to change the face of States industry sector, added TMC supremo. TMC general secretary Mukul Roy and MLA Sabyasachi Dutta also spoke in the rally marking the partys Lok Sabha campaign.
