BADARPUR, Dec 13 - Malegarh Divas will be observed on December 18 with a day-long programme to pay tributes to all the martyrs who fought for independence in 1857.
The meeting held under the presidentship of Karimganj Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Talukder was attended by MP Radheshyam Biswas, Karimganj Police Superintendent and others. The meeting also decided to highlight the sacrifices of the martyrs of Malegarh at the national level.
In this connection a committee was formed with Karimganj Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Talukder as president. In the meeting, Karimganj MP Radheshyam Biswas in his address assured that all possible help will be taken to make Malegarh as a place of tourist destination.
