KOKRAJHAR, June 12 - To mark the completion of three years of the NDA Government at the Centre, the three-day-long �Making of Developed India (Modi) Festival� was held at Kokrajhar Govt HS & MP School playground from Friday last.
The programme organised by the BJP, was inaugurated by BTC Executive Member Doneswar Goyari. Bibhuti Borgoyari, Kokrajhar district president, Dipankar Nath, convener of the programme, among others, attended the inaugural programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Dipankar Nath, convener of the programme, said that the objective of the programme was to disseminate information on achievements of the Narendra Modi-led Government to the grassroots level.
Shiv Prakash Shukla, MP, Rajya Sabha attended the concluding session of the programme as the chief guest. Bimal Oswal, State vice president, Himani Adhikari, State secretary of BJP, among others, also attended the programme.
Shiv Prakash Shukla, claimed that the development that is taking place in the nation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in the right direction. He also said that the Government has given special attention to the north-eastern region for all-round development of the area. He also requested the people to avail the benefits of all people friendly projects so that every scheme introduced by the Government becomes fruitful.
It may be mentioned here that several stalls were created in the venue to apprise the people about various schemes of the Central Government. The festival also featured all developmental activities introduced by the BJP Government during three years of its rule.
Different competitions like art, essay, and quiz were also held during the programme beside cultural shows and lucky draws etc. A brochure was also released on the occasion.
