DIMAPUR, Dec 20 - Nagaland and Assam Governor PB Acharya has called upon the brand ambassadors of Swachh Bharat Mission of Nagaland to make the movement a peoples� movement by continuing to be active and by coming up with innovative ideas.
Acharya also underlined the need for spreading the ideology of �cleanliness is next to Godliness� to be carried forward mentally and psychologically.
Interacting with the representatives of Swachh Bharat Mission from different districts of Nagaland at Police House Chumukedima here recently, the Governor expressed his deep desire for making Nagaland as the cleanest state in India under Swacch Bharat Mission, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi this year.
While sharing the suggestions made by the National Swacch Bharat Mission with the brand ambassadors, Acharya also expressed his desire to take up cleanliness drive of Dimapur Railway Station in a concerted way by involving sections of society. He also suggested putting up Swacch Bharat Mission signboards at various colonies especially at educational institutions to create awareness about cleanliness.
The Governor also harped on the need to make use of the internet and to upload the activities initiated in the portal as desired by the Union Ministry of Urban Development. He assured that he would always be accessible whenever his participation is required in cleanliness drives.
In the meeting, the brand ambassador of Dimapur district Geoffrey Yaden suggested for having Swachh Bharat website to which all the members agreed. The cleanliness drives initiated across the districts will be uploaded in the Nagaland Swachh Bharat website.
The members present expressed their commitment to carry on the Swach Bharat movement with greater zeal and determination and to involve various sections of the society.
