GUWAHATI, April 10 - The Election Commission has made major seizures of illegal cash, arms and liquor in the State since announcement of the polls process.
An official statement said today that so far cash worth Rs 12,51,47,539 has been seized across the State. In addition, 8,59,706 litres of liquor have also been seized. The figures include all the 126 constituencies in the State.
It added that 190 illegal arms and 830 rounds of illegal ammunition have also been seized. A total of 27,293 pieces of licensed arms have also been deposited with the authority.
