GUWAHATI, June 22 � Socio-cultural organisation Jyotirupa has condoled the demise of theatre personality Mahananda Sarma and has prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
In a statement issued to the press, Jyotirupa said that Sarma will be remembered for his powerful acting and contribution towards the growth of the theatre movement in the State. �He was a true artiste who illuminated the cultural world of Assam,� added the statement.
