GUWAHATI, Oct 18 - Durga Puja will have its ceremonial beginning with Maha Sasthi tomorrow. The ceremony of bel boron was performed today, even as Puja committees gave finishing touches to their preparations.
Puja committees across the State have made elaborate arrangements to accord an auspicious welcome to the Mother Goddess and her entourage. The city has donned a bridal look with beautifully decorated and colorfully illuminated mandaps.
Meanwhile, a day-long prizemoney Durga Naam competition was organised by the women�s section of the Barowari Puja Committee on October 17 as part of the 126th Puja celebration at Barowari.
