SILAPATHAR, May 22 � Activists of Mising Autonomous Demand Committee (MADC) including Jagadish Pegu, Jiban Kuli, Monoj Mili, Sailendra Pegu, Rajmoni Patir, Dilip Taye, Prahlad Sarah, Roti Kanta Doley and several others were beaten up by the activists of Takam Mising Porin Kebang (TMPK) and Mising Mimag Kebang (MMK) at Brahmaputra Hotel, Silapathar at 12 noon today. The activists of MADC had gathered in the hotel for a meeting.
The activists of TMPK and MMK also destroyed the Maruti Cars of Jagadish Pegu and Jiban Kuli along with documents of MADC. The Central members of MADC has filed a case at Silapathar PS.
Kukunath Tayeng, joint secretary of Silapathar MMK said that the organisation will take stern action against MADC and such organisations of Mising in near future.
On the other hand, Jagadish Pegu, general secretary of MADC condemned the incident and criticised the activists of TMPK.
