KOKRAJHAR, Dec 9 - A National Lok Adalat under the aegis of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) will be held on the Kokrajhar district court premises on December 12.
As per officials of the Kokrajhar DLSA, a total of about 3,159 cases will be taken up at the National Lok Adalat on Saturday. Civil, criminal, motor accident claims, bank-related cases like bank loan recovery and cases in the pre-litigation stage will also be taken up during the proceedings.
It may be mentioned here that the order passed by a Lok Adalat is final, having no provision of appeal and fully enforceable like any other decree of the court passed after trial.
The District Legal Service Authority, Kokrajhar has appealed to litigants across the district to avail benefits from the Lok Adalat.
