GUWAHATI, Aug 26 - In a benevolent gesture of helping rehabilitate the State flood victims, the Lohia Group of Industries on Friday donated Rs 10 lakh to the Assam Chief Minister�s Relief Fund.
Kailash Ch Lohia, Chairman, and Bajrang Lohia and Rahul Lohia of the Lohia Group of Industries handed over the cheque for the said amount to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at Chief Minister�s Office at the State Secretariat, Dispur here, a press release said here today.
Founded by Kailash Chandra Lohia, the Lohia Group of Industries is an Assam-based diversified group having twelve different entities under the umbrella. Its business interests range from construction materials (cement, alloys, steel), paper stationery, retail to education. The main group companies are Topcem Cement, Suraksha Cement, Subham Planners, ACC Brikolite, Sohum group of retail outlets, Delhi Public School, Gorchuk, Guwahati, etc., the release added.
