Lockdown curbs relaxed

TURA, May 14 - In compliance with the order issued by the State Political Department, the West Garo Hills District Magistrate has permitted reopening of all private clinics, nursing homes and laboratories with medical professionals and staff with immediate effect.

The inter-State movement of medical professionals and staff has also been allowed subject to strict compliance with all protocols and guidelines prescribed by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Other activities permitted in the district from Wednesday include takeaway or home delivery services of restaurants, cafes, food outlets, etc., barring in the Tura main market, subject to compliance with the protocols and guidelines.

Senior citizens above 60 years of age have been exempted from requiring vehicle and curfew passes, but they must carry a valid photo identity card as age proof while travelling.
