GUWAHATI, March 2 - The third Sajjan Jain Memorial Literary Award was presented to Sanwarmal Sanganeria at a function held at Pragjyoti-ITA Centre here recently.
The chief guest of the function was noted litterateur Dr Parag Bhattacharya.
Sanganeria has authored a number of books in Hindi, including the biography of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankaradeva.
The award has been instituted by Sri Marwari Hindi Pustakalaya of Guwahati.
A memento, a shawl and a letter of felicitation were presented to Sanganeria along with the award money.
Those present at the ceremony were president of Pustakalaya Narayan Khakolia, former Pustakalaya president Anil Jaina, Editor of Dainik Purvoday Ravi Shankar Ravi and Editor of Hindi Sentinel Dinkar Kumar.
