GUWAHATI, Aug 8 - The members of Lions Club of Gauhati today visited a home for spastic children, Destination, situated at Kahilipara, and served food to approximately 110 inmates. The members, in association with Akshaya Patra, an organisation of �Hare Krishna Movement�, carried the programme under the banned of �Feed the hunger�, stated a press release.
The food was provided by Aparna Agarwala, a member of the Lions Club, on the occasion of her birthday. The members of the club greeted her and thanked her for sponsoring the food. The president of �Destination�, Meenakshi Sangma, and superintendent, Chunki Bora, and Vandana Goel of �Akshaya Patra� appreciated the noble gesture of the club.
A large number of members of the Lions Club participated in the programme under the leadership of president Pradeep Agarwala, and district chairperson of �Feed the hunger� programme Suresh Gaggar.
