Leo Expo draws crowds

GUWAHATI, Nov 2 - The ongoing 16th International Leo Expo 2016, organised by Leo Advertising at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre here from October 28, has been able to attract people from the city as well as other parts of Assam and also Meghalaya.

A statement issued by the organisers of the event said that besides participants from different Indian States, traders from several foreign countries including Afghanistan, Thailand, Bangladesh, Turkey, South Africa and Nepal are taking part in the expo.

�Apart from the handicraft items of South Africa, Thai jewellery, readymade clothes, and flower imitations have become hot favourites among the visitors. Turkish decorative lamps, Bangladesh�s famous Jamdani and Tangail saris, along with the equally famous melamine utensils, have also made it to the list of favourites. With winter approaching slowly, winter clothes from Nepal have also found a special place among the buyers,� the statement added.
