Leo Expo awards for Dinesh Das, Pradip Baruah

GUWAHATI, Sept 22 - Eminent actor Dinesh Das and noted journalist and editor of the popular Assamese magazine Prantik, Pradip Baruah will receive the Leo Expo Silpi Sanman and Leo Expo Sangbadik Sanman 2015 respectively during the 15th International Leo Expo, scheduled from October 30 to November 15.

The awards have been instituted by Leo Advertising, the organisers of the event. The awards carry cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, a citation, a memento and a cheleng chador each. This was announced by noted actress Moloya Goswami, who is also the president of the selection committee for the awards, at a press meet here today.

Meanwhile, a cash award of Rs 50,000 will be given to Minu Bania, widow of eminent actor late Indra Bania, as recognition to the actor�s immense contributions to the cultural world of Assam, said a statement. The expo will be held at the Maniram Dewan Trade Centre in the city.
