Lecture prog organised

GUWAHATI, Aug 26 - As part of its academic and value extension programme, the Karmashree Hiteswar Saikia College has organised a two-day lecture programme on August 19 and 21 under the aegis of the College�s registered society Moral and Spiritual Study Circle, in commemoration of its fifth foundation day. The event was inaugurated by the Principal of the college, Dr Sikhamoni Konwar.

On August 19, delivering the lecture on �How to increase the power of mind�, social activist Minati Barthakur observed that the strength of mind can be increased by inculcating positive thoughts. On August 21, Acharya Brahmachari M Santosh from Chennai, Chinmoyee Mission, delivered a lecture on �Moral education�.

The event was coordinated by assistant professor Nurul Islam.

The College�s NSS unit also extended a helping hand towards the flood victims of the State by donating essential commodities worth Rs 20,000 through the news channel DY365, stated a press release issued by the Principal of the College.
