GUWAHATI, Feb 24 - An oral presentation by Lekhika Pathak, a PhD student of KaviKrishna Laboratory here, was awarded the Best Lecture at the 8th International Translational Cancer Research Conference at Benaras Hindu University, Varanasi, a few days back.
She had made the presentation on how the idea of Vedic altruism is leading to finding of different stemness pathways in cancer stem cell. She was awarded with a scholarship, a trophy and a certificate.
She was accompanied by a fellow PhD student of KaviKrishna Laboratory, Seema Bhuyan. Dr Kapil Mehta, former Professor of University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas, and Dr Sen Pathak, Professor Emeritus, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas, hailed the idea of Vedic altruism.
