GUWAHATI, Dec 22 - Laxman Sikdar has been selected to represent the Indian advocate�s cricket team for the 5th Lawyer�s Cricket World Cup to be held in Brisbane, Australia from December 29 to January 10.
He was selected on the basis of his performance in the trial-cum-selection camp for the Indian team which was held at Allahabad, Varanasi and Bengaluru respectively. Sikdar is the only player from the Gauhati High Court selected for the Indian team.
Apart from India, the other nations to take part in the championship are-Australia, England, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh and West Indies, stated a release.
