GUWAHATI, March 3 The stalemate at the BRM Government Law College at Panjabari here, is on with the students continuing with their demonstration against the new principal in-charge Ashutosh Kundu, questioning his credentials and accusing him of professional misconduct.

The students who prevented the principal from assuming charge for the past few days have alleged that he had poor teaching ability and wastes valuable time inside the classroom in irrelevant talks besides playing divisive tactics to split the students.

He keeps on calling students to his home for tuition and if the students do not agree to his proposal, he subjects them to mental harassment in class. He even goes to the extent of threatening the students that he would cut their seasonal marks, the students said in a statement, adding that he tries to play dirty politics among the students for his personal interest.

When contacted, Kundu declined from commenting on the allegations but said that he had submitted his stand in writing to the Government.

All I can say is that I have submitted a written report on the developments to the Government, Kundu said.
