GUWAHATI, Jan 6 � Phani Talukdar who was arrested on charges of land grabbing and later remanded to judicial custody was today allowed to go on bail by the Gauhati High Court.
The bail was granted against a surety of Rs 30,000. Advocate Bijon Mahajan and his associates appeared on behalf of the accused, who was arrested under Sec 19 of the Hill Lands and Ecological Site (Protection) Act last month.
