AIZAWL, July 7 - Rich tributes were paid to the late revolutionary leader and first Mizoram Chief Minister Laldenga on his 29th death anniversary today. Former Chief Minister Zoramthanga and Laldenga�s widow Lalbiakdiki laid wreaths at his burial place at Treasury Square here.
Laldenga died in London on July 7, 1990 while returning from New York where he underwent treatment for cancer. Laldenga is hailed as �Father of the Mizos� by his admirers. He was a signatory to the Mizoram Accord with the Centre and was the Chief Minister of the State between 1986 to 1988. � PTI
