GUWAHATI, Nov 24 - Lalchan Ali of Sontoli won the title in the prize-money marathon organised by the Lachitnagar Lachit Jyoti Sangha on the occasion of the Lachit Divas. Altogether 40 runners took part in the meet which was flagged off at Jalukbari, near the statue of Lachit Borphukan by journalist Pronoy Bordoloi. The top two position holders were presented Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively.
The top 10 position holders are: Lalchan Ali (Sontoli, 1:52:00), Sumes Uddin (Kalatuli, 1:53:00), Sanidul Islam (Sontoli, 1:56:00), Robin Das (Barpeta, 1:59:00), Jahidul Islam (Sontoli, 2:00:00), Parag Kumar Deka (2:03:37), Pramod Saikia (Mangaldoi, 2:03:39), Shibam Kumar (North Guwahati, 2:04:02), Rafiqul Islam (Mangaldoi, 2:04:41), Ruddreswar Deka (Mangaldoi, 2:04:59).
