GUWAHATI, March 13 - Congress legislator from Lakhipur constituency Rajdeep Goala will join the BJP, said Finance Minister and NEDA convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma.
�Lakhipur Congress MLA Rajdeep Goala will formally join the BJP in a day or two. Many others will also join later. But initially Goala will join BJP,� Sarma said here today.
However, the Opposition Congress refuted Sarma�s claim. �Himanta Biswa Sarma is an expert in spreading such rumours. We strongly deny it.
None of our MLAs will resign. Our team is intact. All Congress MLAs are not like Himanta Biswa Sarma or Jyotiraditya Scindia,� said Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora.
