GUWAHATI, Jan 12 � Lakhimpur clinched the title in the U-15 Amarjit Sarma Inter District Cricket Tournament.
In the two-day final played at Bokakhat, Lakhimpur defeated host Bokakhat by 94 runs.
Jitumoni Kalita and Rishikesh Bora were the star performers for the winning team.
The Lakhimpur Cricket Association (LCA) has dedicated the victory to Umananda Bora who had been the joint secretary of Assam Cricket Association and a Ranji Trophy player, informed LCA secretary Sujit Choudhury.
Brief scores: Lakhimpur 1st innings 136 (Jitumoni Kalita 48, Raktim Bonia 33, Rishikesh Bora 21). Bokakhat 1st innings 65, Rishikesh took 5 wickets. Lakhimpur 2nd innings: 173 (Pranjal Bharali 48, Rishikesh Bora 36). Bokakhat 2nd innings: 150, Latu Baruah took 4 wickets while Rishikesh and Jitumoni took 3 wickets each.
