GUWAHATI, June 12 � With a convincing seven-wicket victory against Bongaigaon Cricket Coaching Centre in the first semifinal, Lakhimpur Cricket Academy cruised into the final of the Dilip Sarma Memorial U-14 Inter District Coaching Centre/Cricket Academy Cricket Championship.

Electing to bat at the Nehru Stadium here today, Bongaigaon built up a challenging total of 139 for eight in the stipulated 40 overs. Sandip Paul (32) and Subhadeep Chakraborty (29) were their notable contributors while Lakhimpur bowler Pranjal Bharali walked away with three wickets. Lakhimpur batsmen took control of the situation from the very beginning and crossed the opponent�s total in 28.3 overs. Bitu Baruah (44) and Ruhindra Pegu (35) batted confidently and hit the opponent bowlers all round the wicket.
