IMPHAL, Oct 14 - The State-level Kut 2015, an annual post harvest festival of the Kuki-Chin-Mizo groups of Manipur will be celebrated without the popular Miss Kut beauty contest this year. The festival is celebrated throughout the State with the Miss Kut pageant every year on November 1.

According to the State Level Kut Committee, the celebration will be organised at the 1st battalion Manipur Rifles ground in Imphal from 11 am on November 1. In view of the need to observe the solemnity and pay respect and homage to the tribal martyrs of the recent social upheaval in Churachandpur, the SLKC, Manipur have decided to celebrate the Kut 2015 with only cultural items and gospel songs in the competitive mode, the source added.
