DIBRUGARH, Nov 19 - The Krishak Mukti Sangram Sammittee (KMSS) is contemplating to constitute sub branches in the city here to strengthen its base in the commercial hub of the district. Pradip Haloi, publicity secretary of the district unit of the peasant organisation said that KMSS would act as a pressure group to ensure that the authorities of the Municipal Board take corrective measures to protect the town from artificial floods. The authorities concerned must clean the drainages and improve the sewerage system to drain out rain waters instantly. All corrective measures must be initiated before the monsoon to prevent further waterlogging in the city. In the event of failure on the part of the authorities, KMSS has said that the Dibrugarh Municipal Board must be prepared to face the KMSS agitation, Haloi threatened.
