By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, April 27 The Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) has alleged large-scale corruption in the Assam Agricultural University (AAU) and demanded a CBI enquiry into all such cases of corruption involving hundreds of rupees of the public exchequer.

Though the present Chancellor of the University has ordered an inquiry into these cases of corruption, the coterie of the present Vice-Chancellor has been trying to frustrate the inquiry by raising voice of protest at different places. However, the fact remains that there are cases of large-scale corruption in the University, asserted the KMSS.

Moreover, there are cases of irregular appointment, administrative irregularities and cases of irregularities concerning the academic activities of the University under the present Vice-Chancellor, said the KMSS.
