GUWAHATI, Oct 18 � The Assembly debate yesterday on the Indo-Bangla land swap deal proved the anti-people character of the Congress and in their hand the integrity and sovereignty of the country is totally unsafe, said the Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) in a statement here today.
Further, the KMSS has observed that yesterday�s debate also proved that there is no force such as Opposition in the State. In the name of Opposition only some people are there in the State who lack boldness and patriotism.
It said that the assertion made by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi that the State could wrest land from Bangladesh if the possession factor is taken in to consideration and handed over its land if the record factor is taken into consideration,� is dangerous. This is an anti-national theory, the KMSS asserted. For, it said, giving away the land that is in the official record and map of the country itself is an act that amounts to affecting the country�s integrity and sovereignty.
