KMSS demand for land pattas

GOLAKGANJ, April 21 � Activists of the Dhubri district unit of the Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti staged a demonstration for the distribution of land pattas to the indigenous people of Burir Marai and Kurirpar villages under the Golakganj Revenue Circle in Dhubri district on Monday.

The activists, led by KMSS president Raju Bora, Khagen Sutradhar, president of the Dhubri KMSS unit, and Siraj Uddin Ahmed, joint secretary of the Dhubri KMSS unit, took out a protest rally from the Prabhat Chandra Barua playground and gathered in front of the Dhubri DC�s office to protest against the State Government�s alleged unwillingness to issue land pattas to the landless indigenous people of the district.

Later, a memorandum was submitted to the Chief Minister in this connection through the Deputy Commissioner of Dhubri.
