KKHSOU fellowship to journalists

GUWAHATI, Dec 8 - In a bid to encourage journalistic writing on children and adolescents, the Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU), in association with the UNICEF, gave fellowships to a number of journalists of the State on December 7.

The fellowships were given in the Central Hall of the Assam Legislative Assembly, where Speaker Hitendra Nath Goswami was present as the chief guest.

The mediapersons, representing different print and electronic media, who received the fellowships include Mayukh Goswami, Bhabesh Medhi, Mahesh Deka, Geetali Saikia, Vivek Sanganeria, Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Pallabi Bora, Jadumani Saikia, Parismita Gogoi, Jolly Debi, Dipu Kumar Bairagi, Quinie Buragohain, Medini Gogoi, Tridip Nilim Dutta, Manoranjan Bori, Dhirumoni Gogoi, Sandeep Barman, Nayan Pratim Kumar and Banya Barua.

The programme was attended by Leader of Opposition Debabrata Saikia and several senior journalists of Assam among others.
