GUWAHATI, Aug 1 - Birdao Boro of Khoirabari College, Udalguri emerged as the best senior fighter in the 1st Inter College Kickboxing Championship, organised by the Assam Kickboxing Association (AKA) in collaboration with Pragjyotish College, in its auditorium here recently.

Altogether 105 players from 41 colleges took part in the championship which has been recognised by the Directorate of Higher Secondary and Secondary Education.

The competition was inaugurated by Dr Paramananda Rajbongshi, Principal (I/C) of the Pragjyotish College.

School karate: The AKA also conducted the 5th All Assam Inter School Kickboxing Championship at the LOG Hindi High School here from July 25 to 27 where 136 players from 33 schools took part in the age group of U-14, U-17 and U-19 years, stated an AKA release issued by secretary Biswajit Kakoti.
