Kawasaki has launched the updated Ninja ZX-10R motorcycle at Rs.13.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The 2019 Ninja ZX-10R model gets a revised engine, additional technology and features and hence priced around Rs.1.2 lakhs higher than the 2018 model. The bike still continues to be the most-affordable motorcycle in its segment in India as it gets locally assembled in the country.
As already intimated, the major update seen on the new Ninja ZX-10R is the revised motor which uses finger-follower valve actuation technology seen on the 2010 BMW S1000RR bike instead of the tappet-style. This helps in reducing the mass by 20 per cent and in turn helps to increase the speed of the engine, sustaining the higher revolutions comfortably. The engine makes an extra 3hp power, thus taking the total output to 203hp. Another highlight is the bi-directional quick-shifter which has now become a standard feature.
Bookings for the bike have been started last month while the Deliveries will begin in mid-June. Buyers can book the new Ninja ZX-10R at an amount of Rs.1.5 lakh. The 2019 Ninja ZX-10R will take on the likes of its rivals Honda CBR1000RR and BMW S1000RR.
