GUWAHATI, Jan 7 - A few days after a case of child sexual abuse was registered against him, Karbi Anglong Superintendent of Police Gaurav Upadhyay was today transferred and attached with the Assam Police headquarters by the Home department.
Upadhyay, against whom a case was registered with the All Women Police Station at Panbazar under the POCSO Act, has been replaced by Debojit Deuri, who was serving as the Superintendent of Police of Sadiya.
In the third reshuffle in the last one month, the Home department also transferred Bhanwar Lal Meena, SP (Special Branch) and has been posted as the SP, Sadiya. He will be replaced by Ratna Singha, SP (Special Branch).
SP(SB), East Zone, VVR Reddy has also been transferred and posted as the SP of the CID in lieu of Leena Doley, who has been posted as SP (Special Branch), East Zone, Jorhat.
