DIPHU, Dec 16 � After the notification to the 11th KAAC polls by the Assam State Election Commission on Thursday, the Karbi Anglong district administration has geared up all its machineries to ensure free and fair elections to the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council slated for January 4.
The DC and Returning Officer, Rakesh Kumar held a meeting of cell incharges of all cells constituted for smooth and successful conduct of the elections today.
At the meeting held in his office chamber, Kumar asked all cell incharges to be sincere in running their respective cells efficiently. He warned of action for any lapses, laxity or negligence. He further advocated inter-cell coordination for smooth conduct of the elections.
