GUWAHATI, July 6 � Kamrupa Footbal Club of Boko displayed a better brand of game and earned a deserving 4-2 victory against Abutani Sports Club in a first round match of the Premier Agro Bio-Tech NN Bhatta Football Tournament here at Nehru Stadium today.

It was a fast-paced encounter where both the teams adopted attacking tactics from the initial stage. Kamrupa midfielders Santul Rabha and Anitya Rabha showed maturity and played a vital role in the team�s success.

Santul opened the account in the 22nd minute but Abutani striker Henry restored parity in the 31st minute converting a penalty.

After changing over, Anitya put Kamrupa ahead in the 53rd minute with a firm drive from inside the box. However, Henry made it 2-2 in the 60th minute off a spot kick.

But the Boko boys took complete control of the situation in the later part and pumped in two goals within a span of five minutes. Santul converted a penalty kick in the 79th minute and Rudra Boro completed the tally in the 84th minute. Abutani striker Henry could be held responsible for the defeat as he squandered a couple of easy scoring opportunities in the match.

Today�s match: Green Valley vs FCI.
