Kamrup DM prohibits parking of heavy vehicles on NH at Changsari

JALUKBARI, June 1 - The District Magistrate of Kamrup Vinod Seshan under Section 144 CrPC has prohibited the parking of heavy vehicles on both sides of the National Highway at Changsari. This prohibition order was passed in view of parking of heavy vehicles on both sides of the National Highway at Changsari, which is posing threat to human lives and at the same time causes immense inconvenience to passing vehicles. Further, the accumulation of diesel, mobile oil, grease etc., leaked from the parked vehicles also renders the road slippery and unsafe for driving. This order came into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force until further orders. Any person aggrieved with this order is at liberty to appear before the court of the District Magistrate within June 14 for filing any written objection, the order added.

Meanwhile, the District Magistrate of South Kamrup Rajib Prakash Baruah under Section 144 CrPC has prohibited the unauthorised occupation or illegal encroachment or construction of any structure including dwelling homes on any hill /hillock of South Kamrup district bearing Government revenue land or reserve forest on it. The order has been issued keeping in mind that indiscriminate and unauthorised hill/hillock cutting /tampering of the hill/ hillock surface causes serious harm to the human life and property resulting from landslides and artificial floods due to clogging of drainage with loose soil as well as for maintenance of ecological balance and environmental safety of the locality, a press release stated.
