Kalighat drub United Sikkim

By Correspondent

SILCHAR, March 29 The last minute goal from Pahoon Biswas helped Kalighat Milan Sangha snatch a much needed win against a struggling United Sikkim FC in the 2nd division I-league match played at the SM Dev stadium here on Saturday.

Even as goals eluded the men in yellow, Kalighat dominated the second half with more shots to the opposition net. Pahoon came to the field as a replacement for Arijit Bagui in the 28th minute and was on the attack creating opportunities to score. Barring the solitary win against Hindustan FC, United Sikkim appeared the weakest team of the tournament so far. Kalighat Milan Sangha picked 3 points from three matches. Meanwhile, the Hindustan FC and Royal Wahingdoh match ended in a goalless draw. Royals goalkeeper Nikhil Bernard made a brilliant save in the 34th minute to prevent Deepak Mehra find the net.

Match starts at 7 pm
