TINSUKIA, Dec 23 - Kaliabor lifted the 6th Inter District Junior (Boys) Hockey Championship title for the Nalini Kanta Dohotia trophy.

In the final played at the Tinsukia District Sports Association�s (TDSA) Katchujan field here today, Kaliabor trounced Guwahati 4-0. Santosh Garh (2), Arjun Bhagat and Dibyajyoti Biswas were the scorers. Dibyajyoti Biswas was adjudged the best player of the tournament.

The championship was held under the aegis of the Assam Hockey Association (AHA) and organised by the TDSA in association with Samannya Sangha.

Altogether 16 AHA affiliated units took part in the championship. The champion team walked away with a cash reward of Rs 5000. The prizes were distributed by Bhuban Singh Dohotia, donor of the trophy and prize-money, Dr Brojen Gohai and Dr Achyut Borthakur, president and secretary of the TDSA respectively.
