MAIDANGSHREE NWGWR (Kokrajhar), Feb 3 � Attending the third day of the 43rd annual conference of the ABSU today at Maidangshree Nwgwr, Banorgaon in Kokrajhar district, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, former President of India has categorically advised the student community to �excel in education desisting from other activities�.
Addressing an overwhelming crowd of teachers and students from several parts of this region, he said human race has the capacity of learning and the foundation is built in 17 years. However there is no end to education in life.
He also suggested that every house should have alteast 20 children�s books, which should be increased 10 folds every generation thereafter as an investment in knowledge.
He added that Vision 2020 has ample scope for India to become a global determinant force in the aspects of technology, nuclear energy, etc.
