GUWAHATI, Aug 20 � Englogmir Club, Dakhingaon made it to the quarterfinals of the Brihattar Beltola Krira Unnayan Samittee organised North East Football Championship for the Joy Ram Medhi and Dhiren Boro Trophy.
In a close match at the Sarusajai Sports Complex here today, the Dakhingaon boys edged past Jagiroad Youth Club 2-1.
For the winning team, Ratan Muchahary and Dhan Rabha scored one goal each while Rajesh Timung reduced the margin.
Earlier, Chaigaon Janajatiya Sports Club trounced Narakasur Star Club 6-0 in a second round match of the tournament yesterday. Bimal Rabha scored three goals while Jayanta Rabha netted two. Pranjal Rabha was the other scorer.
