JORABAT, Nov 26 - Two miscreants attacked four journalists belonging to different media houses when they went to cover news at 9 Mile, Baridua today.
Sylbester Majaw of T7 news channel of Meghalaya was severely assaulted. The miscreants also threatened the journalists to beware next time they come to the place again.
The journalists had gone to 9 Mile after getting a tip-off about illegal sale of Marijuana in the locality.
Majaw was rushed to Nongpoh Civil Hospital for treatment. An FIR has been filed in Khanapara Police Station.
The attack has been strongly condemned by several journalists organisations. Police said that one Babul Ali has been nabbed by police and search operations are on for the second culprit.
