GUWAHATI, May 8 � Jorhat prevailed over Mangaldai by 87 runs in a group league match of the Umananda Bora Memorial U-13 Inter District Cricket Tournament.
Put into bat at the Barsapara stadium here today, Jorhat piled up a fighting 161 all out in 37.2 overs despite some good bowling by Ziyad Zaman (4/32). Jorhat�s last wicket partnership between Minhazul Abdin and Dibyajyoti Phukan yielded 47 runs off 49 balls which virtually enabled their team in reaching a healthy total.
The Mangaldai batsmen miserably failed to chase the target and were all out for 70 in 27.5 overs.
