JORHAT, Dec 21 - The 24th Jorhat Open, a major State ranking tennis championship under All Assam Tennis Association, got underway at the Jorhat Tennis Club here today.
Around 200 players from different places of the State are taking part in the championship where an amount of Rs 74,000 is at stake as scholarship money.
Noted sports organiser and educationist Dr Tapan Dutta formally inaugurated the meet in presence of a host of sportspersons in a colourful opening ceremony morning.
