GUWAHATI, Nov 3 � Jorhat clinched the best team title in the Pallav Saikia Memorial All Assam Inter District Swimming Championship (Short course) held at Titabor on November 1 and 2.
Jorhat won 74 gold, 51 silver and 44 bronze medals and collected 567 points to stand at top of the point table. Kamrup bagged 13 gold, 23 silver and 18 bronze medals and came second with 152 points. Sivasagar, with seven gold, 14 silver and 18 bronze medals stood third.
The best swimmers in different categories are: Milanton S Dutta (Jorhat, open boys), Ishani Gogoi (Jorhat, open girls), Samrat Sarkar (Tezpur, Gr I), Milantan S Dutta (Jorhat, Gr II boys), Plabita Baruah (Jorhat, Gr II girls), Anudhyan Hazarika (Jorhat, Gr III boys), Rinita Gogoi (Jorhat, Gr III girls), Rrishikesh Bora (Jorhat, Gr IV boys), Astha Bordoloi (Jorhat, Gr IV girls), Sanjeevan Kr Das (Kamrup, Gr V boys), Lovlina Das (Kamrup, Gr V girls).
