GUWAHATI, Dec 31 - The 27th Jorhat Open tennis tournament, a major State Ranking Tournament of the All Assam Tennis Association came to a close with all the finals played at the Jorhat Tennis Club, Jorhat last evening.
The event which was played from December 25 attracted more than 250 participants coming from different parts of the State. Prixes were given away by Rahul Saikia, Ajoy Dutta, LD Gattani, Ila Baruah, Ayan Saikia, Rajkumar Borthakur, Sant Kumar Bhoopal in the closing function.
Final results: (Boys U-12) Antariksh Tamuly (GLT) beat Pritam Baruah (GHY) 6-4,6-3; (Boys U-14) Tushar Paul (GLT) beat Harshad Bora �(GHY) 6-1, 3-6, 6-3; (Boya U-18) Shahir Farhaz (JOR) beat Jeet Dutta (JOR) 7-5, 6-0; (Girls U-14) Tanishqa Patar (GHY) beat Namrata Das (GHY) 6-2,6-2; (Girls U-18) Debangana Barkataky (JOR) beat Tanishqa Patar (GHY) 6-2, 6-7(2), 6-1; (Boys U-14 doubles) Aman Buragohain (SIV)/Hardhad Bora (GHY) beat Aryan Borah (GLT)/ Adriraj Bhuyan (GLT) 6-1, 6-3; (Men�s singles) Amlanjyoti Baruah (GHY) beat Tutu Thapa (GHY) 7-6(3), 6-2; (Men�s doubles) Bedabrat Mohan (SIV)/ManasPratim Kuli (SIV) beat Amlanjyoti Baruah (GHY)/AmanDeo (GHY) 6-4, 6-4.
